Jeremy, Savannah and Caden... January 6, 2011 |
 |
|
Some of the highlights from late summer until the end of
2010:
David and Sarah came for a long weekend visit over the Labor Day
weekend and we had a blast.

My granddaughter Chloe turned 5 on October 13th. I met
them in Cincinnati to give Chloe her birthday presents and gifts
I got for the kids for Halloween. We also went shopping to
start looking at baby stuff for the upcoming birth of my
grandchild.
|
I met Jeremy and Savannah in Cincinnati again
the weekend of Jeremy's birthday, November 7th.
We spent part of the day with George, went by the cemetery to
see Baby Daniel's new marker and then did some more baby
shopping.
Daniel's
plot is owned by his mother's family and they let the baby be
buried in it. I went to the cemetery on September 15th, 7
years from the day he pasted away from SIDS, and purchased a
marker. I had to sign a paper stating that if the family
objected the marker would be removed. |
December
rolled around and brought more birthdays and family time.
Mom and I decorated Daniel's marker for Christmas.

I visited with George for his birthday down at the McAlpin.
Then it was up to Indiana to
spend
a couple of days, celebrate Savannah's birthday and do some more
shopping.
In the Fall and over the course of the next couple of months,
I worked on several projects for the baby. |
I
crocheted 4 blankets, 3 sweaters, 2 bonnets and several pairs of
booties.

The first blanket was a multi-colored stripe patern, the
second was soft pastels.
Next, a must have for every
Cincinnati
Bengals baby, a matching set of orange and black; blanket,
sweater, bonnet and booties.
Last, but not least, another stripe design with some nice
colors. |
I
also decided to sew everything I could for the nursery. I
bought a couple of patterns and lots of fabric.I sewed crib
sheets,
a bumper guard, crib bed skirt, receiving blankets, burp
clothes, fleece blankets,
quilted blankets, fabric books, organizer pouch, diaper stacker,
curtains and valances.
My goal was be done by the due date and I just made it. |
